Hello Hello, it’s that time again! If you’re anything like me, this year is just flying by, well, they do say, time flies when you’re having fun…

When I started putting the detail together for the months of March and April I thought I hadn’t been up to much, but looking back I couldn’t have been more wrong. The team have also been just as busy making memories and enjoying some wonderful experiences as you’ll soon find out….

To kick off March my family and I followed in Avril’s footsteps and visited Shepreth wildlife park. It’s a great size for those of you that have small children/grandchildren, not overwhelmingly big with miles to walk (or drive) between animals/attractions. The soft play and park itself are an ideal size for little ones. Some of the animals we saw included meerkats, maned wolf (not sure I am I fan of this – a little scary in my opinion), a tiger, clouded leopard, otters, along with many more, we even got to feed the Capybara. I have to say, like Avril, my favourites were the red pandas.

Moving into April we stuck with the animal theme and visited Flore farm park, an open working farm which is a little closer to home, my daughter even got to cuddle a lamb, her first time getting this close to farm animals, she absolutely loved it! Just had to teach her to not squeeze it too tight!

I had some time in London seeing ‘Usher’ in concert at the O2 and finding a wonderful rooftop terrace bar in the sunshine with really fantastic city views. I also enjoyed doing some Easter themed baking for the team followed by some total overindulgence on chocolate eggs at home for Easter.

Nick enjoyed another of his intrepid adventures – he and Martina travelled around Thailand. Not content with just visiting one island, they went to three: Koh Samui, Koh Phanghan, Koh Tao (favourite of Nicks – by far – which offers great snorkelling opportunities) here they even got to see reef sharks and giant turtles, then onto the ruined old capital Ayuttahya.

Is this the furthest a boost bar has ever travelled I wonder?

Our very own sporting star Ryan (S) has really achieved this season! His team MK Irish won the league for 24/25 season, meaning promotion to tier 8 of the football pyramid. Not only this but the team only actually lost once in the league – needless to say there was a lot of celebrations afterwards…

At the cup final on 23rd April, Ryan had some boosst team mascots turn out and support him –  Gabby/Josh/Jennie – unfortunately on that occasion they lost (will they be invited again I wonder 😜)

However, even losing that game didn’t matter as Ryan and his team had still done fabulously and achieved their main aim of getting promoted – well done Ryan! Now for a nice 2 month break! – Pre-season starts in July where Ryan and his team will start to prepare for the new league.

Ryan T managed to coordinate a week away in the sun with his family in Alicante.  I think you’ll all agree that the below picture just looks like bliss! Thankfully he brought the sunshine back with him and we’ve had a gorgeous week of weather ever since he touched down in Blighty.

It’s been an exciting and busy couple of months for Riah, she’s been a bit here there and everywhere. Highlights include saying yes to the dress – yes really! She has chosen the most special dress she will ever wear – how exciting!! No spoiler’s though I’m afraid. We all know she will just make the most beautiful bride!

Being super organised and a real planner at heart, Riah also managed to get the all important wedding invites sent out – so wedding planning is in full swing – the invites show a great likeness don’t you think…

Riah also enjoyed a trip back home to the Lake District over easter weekend with Harry and friends, she really relaxed and enjoyed some time at home – despite being promised a fairly flat walk and actually being dragged on the Grassmoor and Rannerdale Knotts loop which included over 850m of elevation…the pint afterwards was well deserved! Rannerdale Knotts is famous for its bluebells, but unfortunately they were just a little too early to see them in full bloom, but she does highly recommend a trip to see and even the walk on the Grassmoor and Rannerdale Knotts loop, there is some beautiful scenery to been explored – her top tips include – take plenty of water, good shoes and most important make sure you do your research and find a good pub afterwards!

Jennie and her husband Nick took their first trip on the Eurostar to Bruges to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary.  With mixed weather, they thought Bruges was beautiful in the rain, until they saw it in the sunshine! – a truly stunning city with lots of sights, great food, just a couple of Belgium beers, even better the chocolate…out of this world!

Spring time means back to the North Norfolk Coast for Jennie (they didn’t have to ask Luna twice!) and with the gorgeous weather we have been experiencing, the beach has never looked better! Heacham being one of the the only places on the east coast that faces west (work that out!), it promises and delivers some of the most stunning sunsets! It really does look stunning – they could be anywhere with those sunsets and beautifully calm sea!

Nicola and her family have also had a busy couple of months with lots of vehicle related activities, enjoying some family time outdoors in the sunny weather.

First off they went to Middleton Hall in CMK to watch the British Offroad RC Grand Prix, watching RC drivers from all over the world speed around the indoor track. It was great fun to watch.

They’ve also had lots of family bike rides around Newport Pagnell & MK and to the local Skate Park & Pump track for Arthur to practice his skills! Nicola quickly learned that she is maybe not as young as she once was (her words not mine!) and falling off the scooter at speed hurts!

Over the Easter break they went to Northampton Shaleway, not once but twice! First was to watch the Stock Car and MiniStox Racing and the second to watch the Banger Racing. Both were absolutely great to watch and Nicola has no doubt they’ll be back there again soon.

Keith and Linda continue their busy blend of work and fun.

Following winter sun in Florida and the Caribbean they enjoyed a month of tennis, fitness classes, healthy eating and remote working in Portugal (sadly the weather was the worst seen since 1959!).

Since returning they have been preparing for their most adventurous outing on water, as they are part of a large flotilla heading to Dunkirk to remember the 85th anniversary of Operation Dynamo late in May. What an experience that will be. We’ll certainly hope to get some photos for next time.

Meanwhile, Josh has been out taking some wonderful pictures of the wildlife we are lucky enough to have living around our office and in the lake. We have some lovely coot babies and (Woodie) the Wood Duck – I think you’ll agree he’s a stunner!

Gabby & Josh travelled to Rosendal in Norway where they stayed in a little log cabin between the fjords and the mountains. Idyllic or what! A day was spent went hiking up the mountain while the glaciers were all melting around them – so there were beautiful waterfalls in full flow. Something they will both will never forget is the ‘expedition dining experience’ at Iris which is a restaurant floating on the fjord. An amazing experience that included a course at the chefs house!

Over the Easter weekend Gabby was a bridesmaid for her friend Natalie. She got married in Henley at Remenham Court House. An amazing day filled with lots of love, and they were very lucky with the beautiful weather. Both the bride and Gabby looked absolutely gorgeous.

Not looking quite so polished… Josh competed in Hyrox in Copenhagen! This is Josh’s second Hyrox, he made an unbelievable effort and achieved a new PB of 10 minutes quicker than his first attempt last year! He’s got two more races booked for 2025! Well done Josh!

And there we have it, what a busy March and April for all of us. We all have plenty more to come over the summer months so we’ll keep you posted. Feel free to ask any of us about our experiences – and dear clients do not forget that you can access our Travel & Experience Directory through the boosst Portal for even more inspiration!

Until next time…
