Keith embodies the boosst ethos and carries his vast experience, integrity and passion for helping others in sharing arms, wishing to improve the lives of those he works with.
The relationships that Keith shares with our Individual and Enterprise clients are so strong that he deals with many clients today who he first met 30+ years ago; and in many cases their friends, families and colleagues.
Keith chairs our Leadership Team and sits on our Investment Committee with Josh and Tim.
Keith spends a large proportion of his time helping our Individual clients to understand that ‘life is not a rehearsal’ - and that the things they want to achieve need not only a reliable financial plan but also action. His favourite way to demonstrate this is by sharing his own life journey with our clients and reminding them that the journey is as important as the destination.
Some of Keith’s highlights on his life journey so far include;
• Buying and living in homes that the family have loved
• Taking care of Grandma, so that she and Josh had many happy times to share
• Volunteering as chairman of Luton Rugby Club for 9 years and coaching a very successful youth team through 11 seasons
• Enjoying a long and happy Marriage to Linda
• Being chosen as a torchbearer for the London 2012 Olympics
• Mentoring our talented team, so that outstanding Financial Planning is available to more people
By living his own life with Linda full of fantastic experiences with his end destinations in mind at all times, Keith hopes to inspire those around him, including friends, family, the boosst team and our clients.
Keith enjoys photography to store great memories from his travels and can often be found on the tennis court or socialising within the fantastic village community that he and Linda are fortunate to be a part of.

boosst truly believes that ‘Life is for Living’ and Josh works closely with our Individual clients to help them embrace this through excellent Financial Planning.
‘Life is for Living’ is more than a catchphrase and Josh is passionate about helping our clients to truly define what they want to achieve in life - and then he works with them to achieve it.
Individuals and Families working with Josh have tidy finances, rarely have money worries and make financial decisions with both confidence and conviction.
boosst is a family business at its core supported by our wonderful team, who themselves become a part of our family over time. Josh plays a mentor role within boosst and supports our team as they grow and strive to achieve even greater levels of qualification and knowledge.
Josh is a member of our Leadership Team and sits on our Investment Committee alongside Keith and Tim. He also represents boosst by hosting events, speaking at conferences, contributing to industry press and mentoring across our profession.
Two of Josh’s passions are sport and travel, which he blends together to explore our planet whilst supporting either England, Team GB, McLaren, Harlequins or the British & Irish Lions. Josh is fortunate to have already explored six continents but now admits Antarctica is looking unlikely!
In 2015 Josh achieved his goal of becoming a Chartered Financial Planner, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM, Chartered Wealth Manager and Fellow of The Personal Finance Society by the age of just 23, the youngest to have reached this accolade in the UK.
Building on this, in 2018 Josh also became the youngest to achieve certification to British Standard ISO 22222:2005. This internationally recognised benchmark confirms he holds the knowledge, skills, experience and ethical values required to deliver the outstanding Financial Planning service that boosst prides itself upon.
Having jumped into working life aged 18, it almost seemed ironic when the 2020 COVID lockdowns gave Josh the opportunity to enrol with Manchester Metropolitan University. He tackled a Masters degree in Financial Planning & Business Management and explored how adult children impact parents' plans for retirement.
His research included a series of interviews to compare how parents need to adjust their 'retirement thinking’ compared to childless families. His dissertation highlighted trends in how parents think about where they live in retirement, when they feel comfortable retiring, and how their childrens' plans impact their own. His efforts were rewarded with a Distinction. You can read his final research piece here.
In 2021 Josh was again shortlisted for the CISI’s coveted title of Certified Financial Planner of the Year, and received the judge’s 'highly commended’ award. This was a carbon copy of his achievement in 2018 - a brilliant achievement considering that winners are typically later in their careers. Whilst he is delighted to come 2nd in a national award, he’s a competitive chap and will no doubt be doubling his efforts to achieve 1st place in the future.

At the heart of our family business, Linda has witnessed boosst evolve to become the business it is today.
Linda’s valuable contribution working alongside Keith and Josh over many years has embedded her ideas into the way the business is run. Her high standards continue to sit at the very core of everything we do.

Avril is a crowd favourite amongst our Individual Clients, being their first port of call for all queries, providing assistance and making sure solutions we advise are seen through to completion.
Avril joined the financial services profession in 2000 and quickly found herself enjoying the variety that her support role entails. Many happy years later, Avril finds herself thriving in a role where she spends the majority of her time in close contact with our friendly clients.
Avril’s evenings are spent with a local choir, performing a variety of songs ranging from Mozart to The Beatles. The choir also perform at concerts and partake in an exchange with a fellow French choir every few years. When Avril isn’t singing, she can be found on the battlefield, re-enacting American Civil War with her husband Gary and their son. If you can spot Avril amongst the mud and guns, she is likely to be part of the artillery crew manning the cannon.
Avril also enjoys reading, embroidery and listening to music in her free time. As a talented saxophonist, when she was playing regularly, Avril was invited to Germany to join a Jazz band on their travels.
Nicola is a valued member of our friendly client support team, with over two decades of financial planning experience.

Outside of her role at boosst, Nicola leads a vibrant life. She's an avid arts and crafts enthusiast and will often be found painting or working on a DIY project in her free time. She also cherishes spending quality time with her family, particularly her husband, Jack, and their son, Arthur, who's crazy about monster trucks.
Nicola plays an integral role in our team, tirelessly ensuring that clients' needs are met. She tackles challenges head-on, keeping everyone informed and taking a proactive approach to problem-solving. We're proud to have her on board!

Gabby brings boundless energy and her infectious smile to the boosst team.
Gabby joined boosst in 2017 after completing her Economics degree at Loughborough University. She then worked through our award-winning ‘bright to boosst’ development programme and became a Certified Financial Planner at the start of 2021. She spent her first 4 years with boosst working closely with Josh and Keith to build and develop her own Financial Planning knowledge and style, whilst also completing some very rigorous technical exams!
Quite the trailblazer for exams and qualifications, Gabby is one of very few in the UK to pass her Certified Financial Planner qualification on her first submission and now volunteers with our professional body to provide input and feedback on their exams and marking.
Gabby now looks after her own clients at boosst. She helps her clients to achieve their goals and provides them with the knowledge and guidance they need to have absolute confidence in the decisions they make. The kind and friendly nature of our clients means they always appreciate the thorough and thoughtful support she provides.
In her spare time, Gabby enjoys horse riding, skiing, cycling and her latest pursuit - running, which she is finding thoroughly rewarding. She used to compete for Great Britain in fencing and regularly volunteered to help young children develop their fencing skills. Her work in bringing fresh talent to the sport led to her being chosen as an Olympic torchbearer for London 2012.

Tom joined the boosst team in 2021, having already built his experience in the profession and an impressive roster of qualifications. Tom was drawn to boosst having attended webinars hosted by Keith explaining their approach to Lifestyle and Financial Planning, which he felt aligned with how he believed Financial Planning should be done.
Tom has attained Chartered Financial Planner status (demonstrating his technical knowledge), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) status (evidencing his ability to introduce financial planning ideas to help clients reach their goals). This combination of tough qualifications makes Tom perfectly positioned to support a wide range of clients.
Tom enjoys the variety that comes from being the lead planner for a wide selection of clients and ‘gets his kicks’ from supporting a diverse group of families to achieve their goals and objectives.
Tom likes to coach his clients towards making the best financial decisions to reach their objectives. On the odd occasion that gentle coaching isn’t successful, it’s worth mentioning that Tom has trained, competed and coached martial arts for over 15 years. He will get you to your goals! He has volunteered to teach martial arts with local clubs and charities and also enjoys golf and snowboarding.

Mel joined us in 2019 and forms a key cog within our client support team.
His interest in personal finance first arose whilst he was undertaking a degree in Banking and Finance at Manchester Metropolitan University. The university partnered with NextGen Planners to host a day of activities which enabled aspiring financial planners to showcase their skills and spend time with current financial planners and business owners. This is where Mel was first introduced to Josh. Mel took an immediate interest in our eco-office, lake and bright to boosst development programme, which was designed to help students develop their financial planning knowledge and skills.
Mel aims to become both a Chartered and Certified Financial Planner and is working his way through exams with both the Chartered Insurance Institute and the CISI.
Mel enjoys keeping up to date with the football and supports Manchester United….. we think this may have impacted his University choice! He is also a boxing fan and although he doesn’t get in the ring, he does enjoy going to live events. Next on his sporting bucket list is the Darts World Championships.

Jessica brings extensive experience to the boosst team as an external consultant. Her technical expertise and vast experience gives our team an independent resource to support workflow and contribute new ideas.
Jessica has worked in the financial services profession for two decades; her early experience included the development and implementation of new investment propositions for two well known large Investment businesses.
In 2007 she moved into her current technical role, where she has developed extensive knowledge of Financial Planning and has since undertaken many professional qualifications. In 2012 she set up her own paraplanning business and has been involved in the development of an industry-wide British Standard for Paraplanning.
Jessica has many hobbies, including a keen interest in film, paranormal investigating and following Manchester United and Mercedes F1. She can often be found spending time with her family and enjoying a BBQ…. at any opportunity the weather provides!
Kat has worked in the financial services profession since 2004. Since becoming a Paraplanner in 2010, she has become a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and was very proud to be awarded Paraplanner of the Year 2017 by the Professional Paraplanner magazine - a hugely impressive feat!
Kat prides herself on providing exceptionally personal, incredibly detailed and bespoke technical support to boosst and she brings extensive experience to our team as an external consultant. Her technical expertise is an invaluable independent resource to support our core workflow and by contributing new ideas, Kat helps us to ensure that boosst is continually evolving.
Kat works with some of the best UK Financial Planning firms and we are delighted to have access to her wisdom and skillset.
Kat is an animal lover and loves to keep fit. When she’s not being a Paraplanning superstar, she’ll either be in the Gym or on long walk with her dog Keko.
Laura is a valued member of the Individual Client Team, bringing her specialist pension knowledge and a ‘can-do’ attitude. There is very little that Laura is afraid to try, although Nick’s homegrown chilli’s are one of the few exceptions!
Having a passion for helping others led Laura to explore a career in the hospitality industry, for which she completed her degree in Hospitality Business Management. This gave her the opportunity to explore her passion further and she eventually found herself working at a high-end hotel in Colorado Springs. She then settled back to the UK with her now-husband David after a year abroad and discovered her love for helping people to understand their finances. She joined her previous firm as an administrator - but her positive approach saw her quickly promoted to become a trainee paraplanner.
Laura completed her Diploma and is quickly working towards her Advanced Diploma and Certified Financial Planner qualifications. She fits her studies around her part-time role at boosst, whilst having the opportunity to spend quality time raising her son, Max.
She is a member of a local tap dancing class and a season ticket holder for the Northampton Cricket Club T20 season. Laura is our ‘craft-queen’ and enjoys sewing (usually patchwork teddies!), paper crafts, and making items for her online Etsy store.

Tim Hale is our independent investment consultant and brings significant industry experience, enriching and adding technical content to our Investment Committee meetings.
Tim established Albion Strategic Consulting in 2001 following a successful, wide-ranging investment career with Standard Chartered in Hong Kong, and Chase Manhattan in London, New York and Hong Kong.
Tim is a successful author, his book Smarter Investing: Simpler Decision for Better Results was first published in 2006 by the Financial Times and is now in its third edition.
Albion’s valuable input means that the boosst team can focus on supporting our clients on their own life journey. Albion support our due diligence and review processes, providing independent risk and performance analysis and industry comment. Tim takes part in our Investment Committee meetings and ensures that our disciplined and robust client investment processes are maintained.
Tim is passionate about the social utility of good investing. This passion comes from having witnessed, first hand, the many avoidable mistakes and lack of evidence-based decision-making that wastes so much investor wealth. Helping investors to sleep at night, safe in the knowledge that their portfolio is a well-structured as it can be to face the uncertainty of the future, helps us all to sleep well.
Tim is an Oxford graduate with an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
Michelle (aka Little Miss WOWW!) is well known within the Financial Planning community for her endless enthusiasm and energy, infectious personality and unique outlook on what she describes as a “magical profession”.
With over 20 years’ experience working alongside some of the world’s most successful Financial Planning organisations, Michelle is an internationally recognised author, speaker, coach and leading expert in the design and implementation of international framework-based best practice standards.
With Michelle’s support, boosst operates with excellent internal standards & processes which have been rigorously tested to three separate British Standards. This gives our clients confidence that our team operates in a structured, workflow driven environment to provide outstanding client outcomes.
Our passion for Financial Planning is clearly shared by Michelle and her team which inevitably lead us to working together for the continual improvement of boosst.
Nick joined our team in 2021 and quickly found his rhythm leading our team of paraplanners. In the same way that the best West End shows needs both excellent performers and a dedicated support team behind the scenes; boosst works best when our client-facing financial planners and our superstar paraplanner team are working in perfect harmony. As our lead technical paraplanner, Nick provides the conduit between the two teams to ensure our financial planners can perform to their best - providing clients with clarity and peace of mind.
As well as overseeing workflow across the paraplanning team, Nick loves to tackle technical tasks that will benefit our clients. In fact, the more complex the better for Nick! He is affectionally known as the 'boosst encyclopaedia’... and it has been said that if there’s something Nick doesn’t know about pensions or tax… it probably isn’t worth knowing!
Nick has achieved both Chartered Financial Planner and Certified Financial Planner status, evidencing his vast financial planning knowledge. His path to a career in financial planning began while studying for his Financial Services Management degree at the University of Surrey. It’s fair to say that he quickly found a profession which suited his skillset and has not looked back.
Although we have described Nick’s incredible knowledge and love of detail, you would be wrong to assume he is an introvert. Weekends are often dedicated to playing and supporting most sports; especially cricket, tennis, football and rock climbing. His latest passion is growing super hot chillies and making chilli sauce… which is all good fun until he brings them into the office!
Another of Nick’s passions is travel. When asked about his greatest personal achievements, he is quick to recall epic stories of his hike to Everest Base Camp and his climb up Central America’s highest point - a dormant volcano!

Riah joined our ‘bright to boosst’ development programme in 2021 and is following in the footsteps of Josh, Gabby and Mel. Her role allows her to contribute to the core activities of our support team whilst developing her financial planning skills and evidencing her growing knowledge by passing (lots of!) exams.
Her initial interest in financial planning arose due to the client facing nature of the role. Studying a degree in Modern Languages highlighted the importance of communication and building valuable, long lasting relationships, which she is keen to continue in her career with us.
Riah contacted boosst in lockdown, at a time we weren’t actively recruiting. Undeterred, she self-funded her first qualification and got in touch to share her progress. We were impressed and rewarded her efforts by offering work experience and funding her professional membership. The chance for Riah to meet the team and see a client meeting had motivated her to push onwards - and we could see that she may be a great fit for our next vacancy. By the time our next vacancy came around she had already passed another exam and glided through our interview process. Her journey is a great lesson for all graduates who have identified where they want to work and wish to secure their ideal role.
In her spare time, Riah enjoys exercising and can often be found in the boosst gym. She loves to travel and shares a long bucket list of destinations with her partner Harry. They hope to travel to all 7 continents before they reach 30.
