Working with likeminded clients over many years, we have made a few key observations which led to the creation of our new directory:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. People love ‘bucket lists’.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>It’s an easy way to compartmentalise our plans for the future and gives some structure to what will be done next. But we think they are\u00a0flawed<\/span>, as the list has a beginning and an\u00a0end<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. It’s common to take good health for granted\u00a0and postpone our grand plans.<\/span> <\/strong>But the truth is, we never know what the future holds. Sometimes, health takes an unexpected turn, and the dream trip we’ve been putting off is no longer possible.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. It takes a lot of work to keep coming up with new ideas.<\/strong><\/span>To enjoy a long and varied life, you need hundreds of good ideas to fill your years. It can be easier to revert to things you previously enjoyed rather than risk trying something new. Where’s the fun in that!?<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Humans love to share.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>As a social species, it’s natural for us to want to share ideas. We gain happiness from seeing others discover things we have also loved doing, as it creates a commonality regardless of other differences.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. We ‘share better’ in a trusted space.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>It’s much easier to share ideas when you have something in common with the recipient.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We launched with 35 short stories about trips or experiences that the boosst team and a handful of clients have enjoyed. They range from a bread-making class, driving the ‘North Coast 500’, organising a private music festival, ‘destination fine dining’ and reaching Everest base camp – to name a few! <\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Within the first week, 6 new ideas have already been added! <\/span><\/span>Although we have made a great start, we are keen to continue growing the range of ideas in the directory. At our ‘Beyond the Money’ client in September, we hosted brilliant discussions about things that our attendees have done in life and enjoyed. Some highlights that will soon be added include tank driving, \u00a0bhangra dancing, ironmongery, tango lessons in Argentina, and flying in a Tiger Moth!<\/span><\/p>\n

    \"\"If you like what we are trying to achieve with the directory, we ask you to\u00a0‘give a little to take a lot’<\/em> by adding an experience or idea of your own for others to enjoy.\u00a0You can add things you have loved here: link<\/a><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    With your support, we hope to reach 100 directory ideas by Christmas, and our next milestone will be 1,000. It’s a big number – why not be ambitious? <\/span>The more ideas we can gather, the more valuable the directory will become to more people.<\/span><\/p>\n

    How to access the boosst Directory:<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

    The boosst directory is a community platform “by our clients, for our clients”<\/em> – so we do not share the access details publicly. <\/span><\/p>\n

    The simplest way to access the platform is through your usual login to the boosst Personal Finance Portal<\/a><\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Next time you login, you’ll see a shiny new button as shown below:<\/span><\/p>\n
